Charles Mills

Charles S. Mills, III

Owner, Physical Therapist

Charlie’s Special Credentials:

Charlie has been practicing as a therapist since 1994 and is a Mckenzie certified specialist. He is also a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist with special emphasis and proficiency in dry needling techniques. He also holds Key Method Certifications in Functional Capacity Assessments and Job Site Analyses.

Education:

Medical University of South Carolina, Old Dominion University.

Hobbies:

I enjoy spending time with my wife and four sons in a variety of activities to include camping, boating, fishing, boy scouts, swimming, and martial arts.

What do you like most about working at Mid-County Physical Therapy?

I love the challenges and professional satisfaction of owning my own business and knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of so many people. Currently, as a father of four active sons and the son of parents who both have had knee replacements, I am especially interested in both ends of the age spectrum and the special considerations that must be given to all patients based on their own personal needs and goals.

Connie Mills

Credentialing and Business Relations Specialist

Connie’s Special Credentials:

Connie earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1993. She began her career in the area of pediatric occupational therapy working in both the schools and privately with children with special needs. In 2008 she earned her Master’s in Education Degree from George Mason University in the specialty area of Assistive Technology and went on to receive National Certification as an Assistive Technology Professional. In 2014, she received a promotion to Administrative Coordinator for physical therapy, occupational therapy and adaptive physical education services in Prince William County Public Schools. In 2015, she earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis in Administration and Practice Management from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT.

Education:

George Mason University, Medical University of South Carolina.

Hobbies:

Connie enjoys spending time with her sons and family especially camping and boating.

What do you like most about working at Mid-County Physical Therapy?

I am enjoying taking a more administrative role in this practice at this time. In the future I look forward to developing an outpatient program to address both the physical and technology needs of children with disabilities.

Jeannine Dixon

Jeannine’s Special Credentials:

I offer over 10 years of medical billing experience. I love the challenges that come with billing as it keeps me on my toes.

Hobbies:

I enjoy spending time with my family. We love live music and dancing and all things entertaining. I love traveling, road trips and discovering new places.

What do you like most about working at Mid-County Physical Therapy?

I really enjoy working with our patients. It is heartwarming to see the growth and progress that is made with each patient from the time they come in to the time they graduate from their program.

Jennifer Johnson

Jennifer Johnson

Physical Therapist Assistant

Jennifer’s Special Credentials:

She has been in the physical therapy field since 2000 and has been practicing as a licensed physical therapist assistant since 2007. Jennifer is also certified in CPR and First Aid.

Education:

Northern Virginia Community College, Marymount University.

Hobbies:

Jennifer loves adventure and exploring as well as dancing. She also enjoys boating, tubing, skiing, horseback riding and reading.

What do you like most about working at Mid-County Physical Therapy?

I enjoy building a rapport with patients and helping them achieve their goals. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than helping a patient get back to their activities and improving their daily living.

Ross Mills

Physical Therapist

Special Credentials/History:

Ross has worked in the physical therapy environment since 2011. He has worked with a numerous variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions over the years. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May of 2020 from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA and is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy in the State of Virginia. He is CPR/BLS certified through the American Heart Association.

Education:  

-2020 Doctor of Physical Therapy Graduate of the University of the Health Sciences in Philadelphia, PA 

-2017 Bachelor of Science in Health Science Graduate from Radford University

Hobbies:

-Fishing, Snowboarding, skateboarding, and camping

-Spending time with my family and friends

What do you like most about working at Mid-County Physical Therapy?

The staff and the patients get along really well and as much as we are serious about making sure we do a good job to get people better, we also like to have fun while we are doing it. 

Michael Boylan

DPT

Physical Therapist

Special Credentials:

  • While working as a personal trainer, Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree from Marywood University. He then went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from West Chester University, where he worked as a Physical Therapy Aide. Falling in love with physical therapy, Michael went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from NYU. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Rock Steady Boxing clinician.

Education:

  • 2017: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Marywood University
  • 2019: Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from West Chester University
  • 2022: Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University

Hobbies:

  • Golfing, basketball, rec league softball, and hanging out with his friends and family

What do you like most about working for Mid-County Physical Therapy?

I like how friendly the staff and patients are. Everyone works well together and it is an amazing treatment and learning environment to help people reach their goals and to continue to grow as a clinician

Krista Scofield

PT, EIP

Physical Therapist

Krista’s special credentials:

  • Krista has nearly 30 years of experience in Physical Therapy, across a variety of settings including
    pediatrics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, sports medicine and orthopedics.
  • She has 40 years of experience in patient care, with former roles as rehabilitation aide at Prince William Hospital, caretaker
    at Caton Merchant House, personal trainer at Manassas Racquet Club, family educator for cystic fibrosis,
    Chest Physical Therapist for lung transplant recipients, and cross country coach at St. Francis of Assisi
    School.
  • She has a special interest in lower extremity biomechanics, and preventing and resolving running
    injuries. She holds a certificate in Early Intervention. She is an active member of the APTA and AOPT.
  • As a military spouse, she has a desire to serve our veterans. Raised in Prince William County.
  • Krista loves connecting clients with local resources to promote wellness and independence.

Education:

Education includes University of Virginia, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and rotational
internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.


Hobbies:
Hobbies include hiking, sailing, kayaking, and cheering on her family.


What do you like best about working at MidCounty Physical Therapy?


Krista first joined MCPT in 2014, and loves the sense of community in the clinic, and the family
atmosphere with the fabulous clients she serves. She enjoys seeing a variety of diagnoses across the
lifespan, and values each individual’s goals and aspirations.

  • Diana graduated from Colgan High School and is currently enrolled in Northern Virginia Community College with aspirations of becoming a Physical Therapist.

Daniel Mills

PT, DPT

Clinic Director of Mid-County PT at Lakeridge

Daniel, a native of Prince William County, comes from a family of therapists
and has been working in the rehab field since 2010 when he began working as a physical therapy technician at Mid-County Physical therapy.

Education:

Daniel graduated from
Virginia Commonwealth University in 2018, receiving his Doctorate in Physical
Therapy. Since then, he has worked in an outpatient and sports medicine
setting working with patients of all ages. Daniel has received additional training and certifications
in Functional Dry Needling, Fascial Manipulation®, upper extremity disorders, and Foot/ankle
diagnosis and treatments.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, he graduated from
James Madison University receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in
Kinesiology.

Hobbies:

In his spare time Daniel enjoys fishing, wakesurfing,
snowboarding, weightlifting, traveling, and hanging out with his family and pug, Winston.

Kevin Massey

PTA

Kevin was born in Lancaster Pennsylvania and is a veteran of the US Army. He is married with three adult children and one grandchild.

  • Most of his experience in physical therapy is working
    with the US military with a lot of experience in post-surgical rehab.
  • He has been a licensed PTA
    since 2008.
  • He earned his PTA degree from Central Pennsylvania College.
  • He has lived in a
    vast number of places due to his and his wife’s military service.
  • He enjoys hunting, playing Magic the Gathering, and spending time with his family.
