What We Treat

Sports injury rehab in Woodbridge.

The sprain that happened mid-game. The overuse ache that’s been building for weeks. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a competitive athlete, getting back to your sport takes more than rest. It starts with a cause-first evaluation, not a guess.

Sound Familiar?

Does this sound like you?

  • An ankle or knee that rolled mid-game and hasn’t felt the same since
  • An overuse ache that’s been quietly building for weeks of training
  • Sitting out practice or games because you’re not sure it’s safe to play through it
  • Noticeably favoring one side when you run, jump, or cut
  • An old injury that flares up every season around the same time
  • Worried that going back too soon will just set you back further

Why It Happens

Sports injuries have a mechanism. Find it, and the fix gets clear.

You’re the one who plays hurt. Which is exactly why you’re always the last one to get it looked at. Some sports injuries happen in an instant, a bad landing, a hard tackle, a sudden pivot. Others build slowly: training load that climbed faster than your tissue could adapt, a strength imbalance between two sides, or mechanics that quietly overload the same joint every rep. Athletes at every level run into both kinds, from weekend warriors picking up a new sport to competitive athletes chasing a season goal.

Rest alone rarely solves either one. A cause-first evaluation looks at strength, mobility, and movement patterns specific to your sport, so your plan addresses what actually caused the injury, not just where it hurts, and builds you back toward the demands of your game.

The Honest Truth

Waiting doesn’t make the injury wait on you.

If you keep waiting

  • You favor the injury without realizing it, and the other side starts hurting too
  • An overuse ache turns into a full-blown injury that sidelines the whole season
  • Going back too soon, without a real plan, sets you up for the same injury again

If you start this week

  • Your evaluation looks for the actual cause and what a realistic return to play looks like
  • Hands-on relief starts before you leave the building
  • You get a plan with an endpoint, built around getting you back to your sport, not just off the sidelines

Nobody regrets starting too early. Every week, someone in our clinic says they regret waiting.

How We Fix It

The same four phases. Built for your sport.

Every plan has an endpoint. Here’s what the four phases look like for a sports injury.

Weeks 1–2

Pain

Calm the pain down.

Hands-on techniques and guided early movement calm inflammation and take the edge off pain, starting your very first visit.

Weeks 2–6

Prime

Get your motion back.

Targeted mobility work restores full range of motion in the injured area before we load it back up.

Weeks 6–10

Perform

Build sport-specific strength.

Progressive strength and power training rebuilds the specific demands of your sport, cutting, jumping, sprinting, or throwing.

Weeks 10+

Prevent

Return better than before.

Game-speed movement gets tested under real load before you’re cleared to go all-in, that’s the endpoint, not just another appointment.

Excellent customer service and friendly service. Mr. Mills who runs the place is a pro and the front desk staff are always helpful. The only place I recommend and go to for physical therapy.

Questions, Answered

What people ask before booking for a sports injury.

Both. We work with athletes at every level, from someone getting back to weekend pickup games to competitive athletes training for a season. The evaluation and plan are built around your specific sport and goals either way, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Pain-free isn’t the same as game-ready. Before clearing you, we test the specific movements your sport demands, cutting, jumping, sprinting, or throwing, under real load and speed. That’s what tells us your body can handle the return, not just how many weeks have passed.

A full plan runs through all four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform, and Prevent, typically over 6–12 weeks depending on the injury and the demands of your sport. Either way, you get a plan with an endpoint, not an open-ended string of appointments.
