Daniel Mills

PT, DPT
Clinical Director

I grew up in Manassas, VA, and come from a family of therapists. I have been involved in the physical therapy field since 2010. I attended James Madison University for my B.S. in Kinesiology and continued my education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I received my doctorate in Physical Therapy. I grew up leading an active lifestyle involving board sports, competitive swimming, baseball, mixed martial arts, and CrossFit.

“If you look for the light, you can often find it. But if you look for the dark, that is all you will ever see.”

I am dry needling certified and specialize in the foot, ankle, and shoulder. I have received additional training and certifications in running/gait analysis, upper extremity disorders, and foot/ankle diagnosis and treatment, but I have an extensive background in treating all orthopedic conditions. I love treating all conditions, but I am particularly passionate about lower extremity disorders because I enjoy the process of returning to walking and running.

The environment here at Mid-County Physical Therapy is collaborative, uplifting, and so encouraging between coworkers and patients alike. I appreciate the relationships I build with patients as we work together toward their goals. It’s fulfilling to be part of their journey to recovery and contribute to their overall well-being.

Patient Testimonials

The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in providing the best possible care. Dr. Daniel Mills took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and develop a personalized treatment plan that was tailored to my specific needs and goals. I felt confident in his abilities, and he genuinely cared about helping me achieve optimal results. One treatment that really made a difference for me was the dry needling therapy. I noticed a huge improvement in my range of motion and little to no pain afterwards. The next day the pain was almost completely gone and 2 days later (today) I can do almost all movements with almost zero pain. Overall, I highly recommend this physical therapy facility. Whether you’re an athlete looking to optimize your performance or someone recovering from an injury, this place is definitely worth considering.
