Their responsibilities include scheduling appointments, communicating with patients, confirming insurances, billing and documenting, hiring and payroll, and handling patient and staff grievances or suggestions. They do these things and a lot more than listed and make it their purpose in this role to serve the clinic better.
Our Standards
From the moment our administrative employees enter our clinic to the moment they leave, they live by personal guidelines to ensure that the patient comes first and that they can make their experience with Mid-County Physical Therapy as enjoyable and smooth as possible. They use their positive and amicable personalities to develop relationships with their patients and work their hardest to make them feel at home. Our front-desk staff prides themselves on their diversity, employing different personality types that make it easier to connect with the range of patients they see. When the office manager and receptionists are happy, the patients are happy. Sitting behind that front desk are people with a tremendous work ethic to pair with their bright personalities.
What motivates our administrative staff is…
The fact that they, too, are consumers and patients. When they empathize with the patients at Mid-County, they put themselves in the patient’s shoes to try and understand their situation. The age-old saying “treat others the way you want to be treated” goes a long way with our staff. Their goal is to try and provide everyone with equal understanding and treatment, knowing that they would want the same treatment from other professionals and office staff.
How Can We Help You?
We provide straightforward information about cost and insurance. Our administrative staff pulls up your benefits before you show up for your appointment so that there are no surprises with finances. In hopes of limiting any anxiety, our office manager, Jeannine Dixon, will also call to let the patient know what their out-of-pocket expense would be. What separates this staff from the rest is our flexibility. They will go over options with you and help develop a plan of care that won’t drain your wallet. Physical therapy requires multiple visits in many cases, and depending on the copay or deductible; it can result in the summation of multiple payments and potentially large expenses. With that in mind, our office staff does not want you to jeopardize your health and wellness for the sake of a copay or high deductible. We care about you, and therefore we will do what we can to work with you.

Offering appointment reminders and printouts for our patients, calling to check in on your overall wellness, and providing courteous communication regarding our clinic’s policies. During one of those phone calls, a receptionist may conveniently remind you to wear comfortable clothing for an exercise program or remind you that we offer our evaluation paperwork online for convenience. The staff recognizes that you want to make this process efficient and quick so that you can get back to healing. Whatever they might be doing, they always think of our patients first.
