I mostly grew up in the West Springfield area of Fairfax County and was a 1981 graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School. Received an undergraduate degree in Sports Management from Old Dominion University in 1987 as well as a Commission in the United States Army via participation in the ROTC program. Served three years active duty and eight more years in the reserves. Attended the Medical University of South Carolina and graduated in 1994 with a master’s degree in health science and physical therapy. Worked for various hospital systems and outpatient clinics until 2009 when started Mid-County Physical Therapy.
