Jeannine Dixon

Office Manager

I was born in Quantico, VA, and raised in Stafford, VA. I met my husband, and we started our family and moved to the Woodbridge area back in 1992. We have 4 beautiful children, 3 boys and 1 daughter, and we now have 10 grandkids from 16 to 3 months old. I was a stay-at-home mom for so long, it felt good to get out and spread my wings and find my niche. I learned a lot about myself while doing so!

Experience:

I have been working in the healthcare field for over 25 years. It started after I was in a bad car accident and was in the chiropractor’s office almost daily. We joked about just putting me on payroll, and I started that Monday. That was the start to my passion for medical billing. I quickly moved on to office management and billing at an Optometry clinic, and now I’m here with Mid-County Physical Therapy to stay.

Core Values:

Integrity, Resilience, Fairness, Empathetic

Favorite Quote:

“Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.”― Stephen R. Covey

Reading/Watching/Listening To:

My all-time favorite thing to watch is Football, Go Birds, I love the movie Bridesmaids and Duplex, but I also like any comedy and feel-good films

What do you do for the company?

I wear many hats in this office, I am the Office Manager, Office Mom, and Billing and Credentialing Specialist.

Something patients have to deal with that you want to fix?

Online automation! The new wave is to do everything online. We work very closely with our EMR system and send in suggestions for upcoming releases, I hope to bring us up to speed with more online options for scheduling, bill payment, and even communication.

What do you like about working here?

We are Family! It can be bittersweet sometimes, we have so many great staff come and eventually leave to go to school and do big things themselves. We have had many become PT’s, PTA’s and even PA’s. It’s great to keep in touch with them and see the growth that we helped lead the path in.

I also love to see our patients come in and get the help and relief we can give them. It is very gratifying to help people, even in the smallest ways. It’s rewarding to see the surveys and reviews of so many happy people who trusted us with their care.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I enjoy spending time with my Husband and family, We love to travel and do things together. We make weekend trips to Philadelphia since we are huge sports fans, we love to take the kids to the zoo and museums, but most of all, we LOVE the beach. We spend a lot of time at Rehoboth Beach. My husband and I hope to get a beach house there very soon.

And I can not forget my fur kids, Daenerys, my Doberman, and Storm, my Purrtector! They keep me active too!
