Jennifer Johnson

PTA, LPTA

Grew up right here in Northern Virginia, so I’m a local through and through! I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Marymount University. My passion for helping people move and feel their best led me to Northern Virginia Community College, where I obtained my Applied Associates of Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. For over fifteen years, I’ve been a dedicated PTA at Mid-County Physical Therapy, where I’ve had the privilege of working with so many wonderful individuals on their rehabilitation journeys.

With over fifteen years as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Mid-County Physical Therapy, I’ve built a strong foundation in rehabilitation. My credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Marymount University and an Applied Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from Northern Virginia Community College. Beyond my formal education, I’ve actively pursued advanced training in several specialized techniques and modalities to enhance my skills and provide comprehensive patient care. These include the Graston Technique, Kinesiology Taping, McKenzie Part A (for mechanical diagnosis and therapy), and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). This combination of extensive hands-on experience and specialized knowledge allows me to effectively assist patients in achieving their functional goals.

Education:

Northern Virginia Community College, Marymount University.

Hobbies:

Outside of work, my favorite way to spend my time is with family. Whether it’s a quiet evening at home or a weekend adventure, those moments are truly special to me. I also dedicate time to caring for my cat, Sophie, who brings a lot of joy — and occasional mischief! — into my life.

What do you like most about working at Mid-County Physical Therapy?

I enjoy building a rapport with patients and helping them achieve their goals. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than helping a patient get back to their activities and improving their daily living.

Hear It From Our Patients!

Shout out to Jenn, her hands are ANOINTED. You don’t need a massage when you leave there, Jenn can really work those muscles.

Hear It From Our Patients!

Gave me individualized care that met my specific needs. I am very grateful for the care I received. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed the sessions because of the staff.
